#13: Starving and Artist Should Never Go Together.

Updated: Aug 16, 2021

Yesterday, I interviewed a world class artist. Needless to say, this is by far one of my favorite things to do.

Their commitment to their craft comes from a passion that fuels them to go as deep + as hard as humanly possible to get to the essence of everything they focus their creativity on. That commitment to excellence is extraordinary to see in action.

Artists don't work, they express themselves.

Their belief in their work is unwavering.

Artists don't just lead, they inspire greatness.

The impact they have on those around them is massive.

Artists generate ideas + concepts that create movements.

They transfer their belief, activating people to move beyond what they thought were their limitations.

Artists don't just help you see the world differently, they motivate you to act on it.

When they get locked in, they just flow.

When an artist is at work, step back + let the magic happen.

The ultimate is seeing an artist that has found Ikigai - the intersection of what they love, what they're good at, what the world needs + what they can get paid to do.

After all, "starving" + "artist" should
NEVER go together.
